We keep this simple. We only collect what we need to help you, we never sell your information, and you can ask us what we hold about you at any time.

01. Who we are

This website is run by Paywise Consulting Ltd. We are the "data controller" for the personal information you give us through this website. That means we decide how it is used, and we are responsible for looking after it.

02. What we collect

When you book a call (Contact form)

• Your name, mobile number and email address
• Your trade, how you are paid at the moment, and when you are next home
• Anything else you choose to tell us in the message box

When you take the free Health Check

• Your answers to the 10 questions (for example your trade, how you are paid, whether you are registered for CIS, and whether your filings are up to date)
• Your first name, mobile number, email address, when you are next home, and how you would like us to contact you

We do not ask for your UTR, National Insurance number, bank details or passwords on this website, and we ask you not to send them through the forms.

When you contact us directly

If you email, call or WhatsApp us, we keep a record of what you send and our replies.

Technical information

When a form is sent, our website records the date and time, and may record your IP address and browser type, to help stop spam and misuse. Our cookie banner stores your cookie choice. See Cookies below.

03. Why we use it

We use your information to:

• Reply to your enquiry and book your free 20-minute call, at a time that suits your rotation.
• Look at your Health Check answers and send you a short written summary of anything worth looking at.
• Contact you the way you asked: WhatsApp, call or email.
• Keep our website safe and working properly.

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR) we must have a lawful reason for each use. Ours are:

• Taking steps at your request before a possible agreement: replying to your enquiry and Health Check.
• Consent: you tick the box on our forms to agree that we can contact you about your enquiry. You can withdraw this at any time.
• Legitimate interests: keeping simple records of enquiries and keeping our website secure.
• Legal obligation: if you become a client, we must keep certain records by law.

We do not send marketing emails or messages unless you have agreed to receive them. We do not use your information for automated decisions.

If you become a client, we will give you an engagement letter, which explains how we handle the information we need to do your accounts and tax work.

04. Who we share it with

We never sell your information. We only share it where we need to:

• Our team: the chartered accountants and tax specialists we work with, only when they are needed to help with your enquiry.
• Our website host: Namecheap, which stores our website and form entries on servers in the UK.
• Our email provider: Microsoft (Microsoft 365), which carries our emails.
• WhatsApp (Meta), only if you choose to message us on WhatsApp.
• HMRC, Companies House or other authorities, only where the law requires us to.

The companies that provide services to us may only use your information to provide those services.

05. Outside the UK

Some of our service providers (such as Microsoft, Meta and Namecheap) are based in, or use support teams in, other countries. Where your information is handled outside the UK, we rely on the safeguards UK law allows, such as the UK–US Data Bridge or UK-approved contract terms.

06. How long we keep it

• Enquiries and Health Check answers that do not lead to you becoming a client: up to 12 months, then deleted.
• Client records: for as long as the law requires. This is usually at least 6 years after the end of the tax year they relate to, and at least 5 years after our working relationship ends for anti-money laundering records.
• Your cookie choice: as set out in our Cookie Policy.

07. Keeping it safe

Our website uses a secure (HTTPS) connection, and access to form entries and emails is limited to the people who need it, using passwords and login protection. No system is 100% secure, so please do not send sensitive numbers or passwords through the website.

08. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
• Ask us to delete your information
• Ask us to limit how we use it, or object to how we use it
• Ask us to send it to you or someone else in a common format
• Withdraw your consent at any time

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

09. Cookies

Cookies are small files saved on your device by websites. We use the cookies our website needs to work, and we ask for your permission before using any others. You can change your choice at any time with the cookie button on the page. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
